Back in 1991 a building complex constructed at the beginning of the 20th century was transformed into a modern clinic under the auspices of the Red Cross. Its imposing architecture and large green garden decorated with sculptures, make it one of the most beautiful clinics in Berlin.
The hospital staff do everything their best to make patients' stays as comfortable as possible. The institution serves as an academic, educational facility and hospital of the Charité University complex. It includes several specialised departments. The paediatrics centre specialises in fields of general paediatrics, neonatology, neonatal resuscitation, neurology, allergology, gastroenterology, urology and pulmonology.
The clinic also runs a mammology centre where thousands of women undergo screening and treatment every day. Narrow specialization of its doctors' allows to diagnose oncological disorders at an early stage and successfully tackle even the most serious of cases.
